📐 How It Works
This calculator uses a weighted average formula to determine the minimum score you need on your final exam to achieve your desired overall course grade.
Final Exam Score = (Desired − Current × Current Weight) ÷ Final Weight
- 1 Enter your current course grade — the grade you have so far before the final.
- 2 Enter the weight of your current grade — how much your coursework counts toward the total (e.g., 70%).
- 3 Enter your desired final grade — the overall grade you're aiming for in the course.
- 4 Enter the final exam weight — how much the final exam counts (e.g., 30%). This plus your grade weight should equal 100%.
